Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Anthony Chow brings 26 years of visionary leadership at the intersection of human cognition, technology, and cultural preservation. As Department Chair of the world's largest MLIS program (generating $22 million annually), he has demonstrated exceptional ability to scale innovation while maintaining rigorous standards.
His unique background—M.A. in Educational Psychology (human cognition focus) and Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology—positions him to lead Nexaverse's mission of creating XR experiences that authentically preserve cultural heritage across generations. With nearly $5 million in secured funding, 30+ publications, and 200 presentations worldwide, Dr. Chow channels entrepreneurial energy and scholarly rigor toward building technology that connects us across time.
John MacLeod
Chief Technology Officer
John MacLeod architects the scalable, future-proof technology infrastructure that powers Nexaverse's cultural heritage platform. With over 30 years at the forefront of 3D and XR innovation, he brings rare expertise from founding XR Libraries and serving as an original member of AutoDesk—companies that fundamentally shaped how we create and experience digital worlds.
As CTO, John translates Nexaverse's vision into robust technical reality, ensuring our XR memorial platform can preserve humanity's stories at scale while remaining accessible and intuitive. His deep understanding of both emerging technologies and long-term system architecture ensures we're building experiences that will endure as long as the memories they preserve.
Janet Tan
Chief Financial Officer
Janet Tan brings 30+ years of entrepreneurial leadership and deep strategic expertise to Nexaverse's financial operations. As a co-founder of speech-recognition technology for medical transcription and longtime business professor, she combines real-world venture experience with academic rigor rooted in Harvard Business School's foundational strategic frameworks—having worked directly with Michael Porter's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.
Her approach to financial management extends beyond traditional CFO responsibilities: Janet applies competitive strategy principles to ensure Nexaverse's business model is sustainable, scalable, and positioned for long-term success. She ensures our commitment to "Smithsonian quality" cultural preservation is matched by equally strong financial architecture, translating our mission into measurable value creation.
